Gabrielle Chanel – the title of super exciting days. Especially seeing these images right now preparing, I still get goosebumps. I still can´t believe that I was part of the launch of Gabrielle Chanel in Paris and visited the Haute Couture Fall Winter ´17-18 fashion show.

It was always my dream to travel to fashion weeks, visit shows and have insights in this fashion circus. And since I am working as a fashion blogger, I am getting one step closer with every new season. Of course it was A-L-W-A-Y-S a dream to see a Chanel fashion show, therefore you can imagine my level of excitement when I got the invitation. It got even more special, because of the contemporary launch of the new Gabrielle Chanel fragrance.
24 hours with Gabrielle Chanel
You can imagine that the day was fully packed with extraordinary and unique happenings. After a short breakfast, our shuttle waited to bring us to the Grand Palais where the fashion show took place. A very busy street, thousands of streetstyle photographer who wants to shoot the perfect look, tourists, security and police men everywhere.
The Grand Palais decorated as a Parisian garden with a phenomenal and impressive Eiffel Tower in the middle of the building. My first thought was: “Yes, of course Karl rebuilds the Eiffel Tower for a fashion show! What else!?” I was so curious about the presentation, but I never expected that. Then the show started and I was overwhelmed! I didn´t know where to look first, I tried to get every detail of the clothing itself, take a closer look of the make up – soak up everything (and show it to you via Instagram!). And then, one of best thing was at the end, when Karl Lagerfeld himself entered the runway.
The day continued with a visit at Gabrielle Chanel´s apartment located above the main boutique at Rue Cambon. We walked the iconic stairs, which plays an important role for the beginning of the house of Chanel. Followed by a private behind-the-scences tour through Gabrielle´s home and an intimate look on her interior and collection of little pieces which played an important role in her life.
The new fragrance Gabrielle Chanel
At the Palais du Tokyo the new fragrance Gabrielle Chanel got introduced. We walked through a sensorial labyrinth with a play of light, reflections and 3-D images of the elegant and delicate bottle. Followed by little boxes to introduce the four main ingredients: jasmine, orange blossom, ylang-ylang, and tuberose. Then we could finally discover ourselves the new fragrance and see the still unpublished tv spot starring Kristen Stewart, the face of the perfum and long friend of the house Chanel.
At the end of an amazing day, Pharell and Katy Perry jumped on the stage for a special performance. I think this was definitely the best experience I ever had! Thank you Chanel for having me in this unique happening!
“It’s a vision of a revived Parisian woman, it is all about cut, shapes, silhouettes.”
